What we collect

Colorín collects only what is necessary to provide the service. This includes your email address or Apple ID for authentication, the prompts you submit to generate coloring pages, credits used and pages generated to manage your account balance, device identifiers and iOS version collected automatically by Google Firebase, and crash and performance data collected by Firebase Crashlytics.

What we don't collect

We do not collect personal information from children. Colorín is designed for parents and guardians (18+) to manage on behalf of their children. The account holder — always an adult — is the user of record.

Prompts entered in the app are text descriptions of coloring page subjects (for example, "a rabbit in a garden") and are not linked to a child's identity or stored as a child's personal record.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond operating and improving the app.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the Colorín service — generating coloring pages, managing your credit balance, and saving your library. Your data is processed by the following third-party service providers:

• OpenAI — processes the prompts you submit to generate coloring page images. Prompts are transmitted to OpenAI's API and subject to OpenAI's privacy policy and data retention practices.
• Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage, Crashlytics) — provides authentication, database storage, image storage, and crash reporting. Data is stored on Google's infrastructure and subject to Google's privacy policy.
• Apple — manages in-app purchases and app distribution. Apple's privacy policy governs their handling of transaction data.
• RevenueCat — manages in-app purchase validation and credit balance tracking. Subject to RevenueCat's privacy policy.

We do not sell your data to any third party.

Credits & billing

Colorín uses a credit-based system. Credits are purchased as one-time in-app purchases through Apple's App Store. Colorín does not store or process any payment information directly — all billing is handled by Apple.

• Credits do not expire.
• Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by applicable law.
• Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable between accounts.
• If the Colorín app is ever discontinued, we will provide 30 days' notice and offer a pro-rata refund of unused credits.

Data retention

We retain different types of data for different periods:

• Account information (email, Apple ID) — retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
• Generated coloring pages and prompts — retained indefinitely while your account is active, so you can revisit and search your full library at any time. Both are deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
• Purchase and credit records — retained for 7 years, as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
• Crash and performance logs — retained for 12 months.

To delete your account and all associated data — including your coloring page library and prompt history — use the "Delete Account" option in app Settings, or contact us at privacy@kaldra.co. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

Children's privacy

Colorín is designed for use by parents and guardians on behalf of their children. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we require all account holders to be 18 years of age or older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Colorín does not create child accounts, link prompts to child identities, or maintain child profiles. All data we collect is associated with the adult account holder only.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Colorín without parental consent, please contact us immediately at privacy@kaldra.co. We will promptly investigate and delete any such information.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. All users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data at any time.

Virginia residents (Virginia CDPA): You have the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of the sale of personal data. Colorín does not sell personal data.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. Colorín does not sell personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@kaldra.co with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will respond to all verified requests within 30 days.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Your data is stored using Google Firebase, which employs industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you within the app and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of Colorín after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. If you do not agree to a material change, you may delete your account before the change takes effect.
